Let me first address the elephant in the room. Or maybe the rhino in the room. Our vow to connect monthly with friends on the MuuMuu Murmors blog has been an epic Fail. Given that our last post was in December 2025, and it is now April 2026, there's no hiding the fact that... we are unreliable, albeit well-intentioned, correspondents.
That noted... here is the good news.
After innumerable delays, twists, turns and “oh – by the way”s, the The Difficult Second Album project is finally coming to fruition. The new songs will be available in the UK and USA on both CD and vinyl. And the album will also be available on the major streaming platforms.
In fact, the physical CDs have just been shipped and should be delivered to us soon.
The physical LPs should be delivered to us toward the end of May or early June.
The digital release on Spotify and other streaming services is currently slated for Friday, May 29th.
Needless to say, we are delighted. As are the cows of Twyford who agreed to be on the cover artwork purely for the “exposure” that it would afford them. Little did they know (nor did we) that it would take a full year from the photo shoot until the project release.
Meanwhile, after a year apart, Tim and I are about to spend some time together in person here in the States. Our families will be sharing some vacation time, traveling a bit in the southern states, then returning to the Boston area at the back end of the trip (which will conclude with a Red Sox night game at Fenway Park). Those of you steeped in MuuMuu lore may recall that Tim and I were in attendance at one of the MLB games in London back in June of 2019 when the NY Yankees made Hagis of the Sox in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Hopefully the hometown team will fare better against the Houston Astros. But I digress.
No doubt there will be opportunities during this upcoming get-together to bat around some musical ideas and concoct plans for future MuuMuu endeavors. We already have 4 songs in the bank toward our next release which, assuming the world holds together and the crik don't rise, will not take another 2+ years to complete! This from the people who promised back in December of last year to post blogs more frequently...
In the meantime, thanks for looking in!
Eric
