It would only be very dedicated & alert Ditch the MuuMuu fans who could spot what has changed in the vocal department of their favourite band’s recording. This would be made all the more difficult by the fact that it is currently impossible to hear this difference, as the track in question hasn’t been released yet! But it will be, in the "near" future.
To save you undue anticipation, anxiety & stress, I will reveal the recent technical changes at Tresco Road Studios. When "The difficult 2nd album" is released, you will be able to nod & sagely say, “Tim is definitely using a different vocal microphone“.
This technical upgrade was precipitated by listening to a rough demo of the latest DTM track entitled ‘Stuff’, whilst on our triumphant tour on the Isle of Nevis. The sound of my size 10.5 Doc Martins shoe could be clearly heard in the mix - picked up despite the recently carpeted Victorian flooring of studio 1 in South London. It was the dullness of the sound that so offended. With the purchase & installation of a new Australian sourced (yes really!) microphone, it is now possible to hear the crisp well delineated sound of leather on carpet as I attempt to keep time with my wayward left foot!
This gives you just an inkling of the dedication & sacrifice that DTM bring to their total recording process. But I digress...

It is hard to believe that, after several aborted attempts, our Caribbean launch party /tour /holiday has successfully concluded & again we are separated by over 3 thousand miles. We are at this moment both staring at snow outside in the UK and Massachusetts, knowing that it’s T-shirt weather on the island of Nevis. Will this Caribbean warmth ooze into future DTMM tracks? I’m sure it will, but how and where? Who knows?
What I do know is that Eric & I are busy writing and recording more mouth-watering material for you to enjoy in the years to come.
Seasonal good will to everybody and do make sure you are ready for a technically enhanced Ditch the MuuMuu in 2023!
“Clear your Ears - the MuuMuu are coming!”
