Hey - it's 2023!

Greetings from the North American side of Ditch The MuuMuu.

As I type, we're hard at work on The Difficult 2nd Album, still basking in the glow of the release of "Worth Its Wait".

While we could have embarked on an international promotional tour, with scores of live performances and aggressive press interviews, we instead chose to get right to work on more tunes.  While we'd love to be playing these songs for audiences in live venues, the practicalities of our situation (me being in Boston and Tim being in London) suggests that we save that for the future.  Specifically, a future that would see us actually having a band, bookings, and press interest.  Lets table that for now.  :)

What we do have is a love of our creative process, and the ability to write and record more songs.

As previously announced, our single "The Bear And The Nightingale" is now out on Bandcamp - a link is at the bottom of this post.  Proceeds from any download sales will be donated to CARE (a Ukraine relief organization). So, for that reason alone, we hope you'll spread the word about this timely track.

Waiting in the wings, we have 3 more songs in process - plus a bunch of melodic fragments, riffs and lyric lines just waiting for The Muse to embrace them.

"Blown Away" is an environmentally supportive song inspired by last summer's drought.  While it still needs a few finishing touches, we'll likely release it in the spring.

"Stuff" is a rollicking little number in the vein of "Bumpy Road" that lifts the hood on tabloids -- and hoarders!  It is nearing completion and may be the next Bandcamp single.  We'll see!

"Hiding History" is our newest creation. It's evolved into a funky, island-feel kind of tune.  The lyric proved to be a bit of a challenge, but we now have a basic instrumental tracks in place. I am awaiting the imminent arrival of Tim's vocals so I can start to add ingredients to the arrangement.  Then the back-and-forth begins in earnest, as we hash out what to keep and what to discard - and consider the "how about" ideas that arise after repeated listening.

As I sign off, our thanks to all who have listened to or purchased "Worth Its Wait".  We're glad you're along for the journey.
