Mancave Studio in Boston has been busy this past month, augmenting some existing tracks and preparing to release new ones!
We have posted newly mastered versions of “Hiding History” and “The Bear And The Nightingale” on our Bandcamp site ( https://www.ditchthemuumuu.bandcamp.com ) The mastering process has given added sonic vitality to these tracks - we're very pleased how they turned out.
As far as brand new material, we've completed 2 new tracks that will be released in the coming months. The first of these is called “Stuff”, a rocking MuuMuu musing on the physical and psychological excesses we all find in life. Do we really need all this stuff?
As we move into the spring of 2023, it's a good time for us to set “Blown Away” off into the world. This is a more contemplative track that was inspired by the drought of 2022. We are feeling the effects of a changing planet; how might the trees around us react - assuming they could talk (or sing)?
There is another song in development that we can reveal. Inspired by the fabulous female background vocalists that augment many of our favorite bands across different genres, we'll be unveiling “Ladies Who Sing Slow”. At least that is the working title! We're still working out the arrangement but Tim has the lyric down and it's just a matter of time until we get this into shareable form.
