It is with much joy I can announce the release of “The difficult 2nd Album “ from your recording chums Ditch The MuuMuu.
It is available as a download, a C.D. & soon as a vinyl pressing (for those of a certain age the last format means long playing record!)

The album has come at great personnel risk, expense & fortitude, but boy has it been worth it. Of course there are a multitude of musicians, friends and family to thanks for sticking with us on this one. It has indeed been… a bumpy road!
So the tracks:
“Hiding history” - Inspired by our trip to the Island of Nevis in 2022
“Fractured Feelings” - Its cheaper than psychotherapy
“Pretty Poison” - What's yours?
“Hurry up & wait” - Our experiences in T.V production
“Not a prayer” - True. But a plea for sanity
“Two Ears at a time” - Our manifesto for world dominance
“Blown Away”‘ - Be kind to trees. And, while you're at it, each other!
“Stuff” - It’s everywhere & shouldn’t be
“Forty Seven Fears” - a side ways look at current incumbents
‘The Bear & the Nightingale’ - the national animals of 2 countries. Look em up!
I am immensely proud of this ‘waxing’. “Hiding history” & “Blown away’” are mixed by Bristol (UK) based musician & all round good guy John Parish (who you may know as P.J. Harvey’s co-writer & collaborator).
Meanwhile…
April of this year saw the dusting of passports and your intrepid UK correspondent heading for ‘the colonies’ for a research trip into US rock ’n’ roll & country music sites. The level of musicianship we encountered reminded me of Eric Clapton’s quote on seeing Jimi Hendrix for the first time in London in 1966: “I think I should practice more…"
New Orleans street drummers & Nashville guitarists proved ‘off the scale. In Memphis, Graceland was far less ‘tacky‘ than I had been lead to believe, in fact I was deeply moved to be in the King's presence. In Savannah, we encountered a fantastic gallery of Gretch instruments presented by Georgia Southern University. And let's not forget to mention standing by the Hank Williams statue in Montgomery, Alabama.
As for the gallery of iconic guitars in Nashville … suffice to say it was an awesome honour just to be able to see some of the Belmont university's exquisite instruments, not to mention playing a few. A truly unforgettable experience.
But no road trip to America would be complete without a visit to Man Cave Studios on the outskirts of Boston. There my co writer & I dabbled with some overdubs for a soon to be completed track entitled “No way to play”. The song (which will, as is our wont, be unveiled on Bandcamp) will feature some surprising guest appearances - in both 2 legged & 4 legged forms.
In passing, I note the number of dogs that have appeared at DTM events and recording sessions. Is this a trend that should be encouraged? Pug Punk, Doggy Disco with a Canine chorus – (I could continue but I won't!)
