What is coming next

OK - so, it is week 2 and we're already late on our once a week posting.  Excuse us!  It's been a busy time in MuuMuu-ville.   Lots of crazy personal stuff, and lots of busy band stuff - on both sides of the Atlantic.

We have managed to create our Facebook page. Thanks to the many friends and acquaintances who are liking it and joining the MuuMuu Commuunity.   If you want to monitor the latest developments, www.facebook.com/ditchthemuumuu is a great place to do it.

In this weeks announcements:

We're on the cusp of releasing our first new song of 2022 - a catchy yet provocative ditty called "Flag".  We'll likely publish it to Bandcamp and the website by Friday, February 4th. It features some spiffy background vocals from our friends Calico, a female trio based in Nashville, Tennessee.  We've been doing some final mixing at Man Cave Studios this week - the gals just sent in their harmonious additions last night.  The music video is already edited (what a concept!) and will simultaneously be released on our website and on YouTube.

We also added a music video for our 2nd single, released back in June 2020.  How many of you remember "The Hills Of Worcester"?  If you (like me) wondered what it was about, have a look at the interpretation presented on our videos page. It's as plausible as anything you might have come up with!

True story: the original lyric was "If that chip on his shoulder was ever to melt, it would raise the seas over the hills of Worcester."  Lyric Meister Barron completely shunned that observation (about a former world leader - you decide which one) and turned it into a story about a private eye.  Ooooo yah!  The creative process at its finest.   Once our editor came up with the premise of a detective trying to solve a crime, the video came together rather quickly. Drop us a comment below and let us know what you think is happening as this 3:26 tale unfolds.

As if that wasn't enough, we're simultaneously working on a new tune called "Things I've Seen", where we attempt to tell a very different kind of story from others in our "canon". It'll have a bit more of a keyboard feel, in keeping with the time period in which the story begins.  Yes, friends, we're gonna take you on an American road trip that started back in 1936.  But that song is, if you will, still down the road a piece.

More to follow next week.  I'm doing my best to get Tim to unleash his pen in the weeks to come. It gives us all something to look forward to, right?
